This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Update on my brother in law, they think the initial feint Wednesday may have been his heart stopped for a few seconds. There was some abnormality in his EKG and apparently Wednesday night at the hospital his heart stopped for 8 seconds.
After an echo they'll assess and fit him with a pace maker.

thanks for the update, i'm glad to hear they got to the root cause. make him write down all of the particulars about the pacemaker and how everyone around him can help if there's a problem. God bless you and your fam.

Just want to say, I know of two people in my circle who have had pacemakers installed since December.
Yeah, and he did have a precovid heart issue but I'm sure the vaccine and a booster or 2 didn't help.
I’d bet you’re right. I still think God stopped them from going to Italy for some reason. This kind of stuff happens to us. Example: my husband and I were planning a trip to D.C. for the January 6th event. We had a financial issue come up that inhibited us from going. Thank you, God! We often comment on this to each other. We’re both thankful for the interference 😅.
Amen, when God closes a door we may not understand why, but it's for a reason.

While I'm sorry to hear the trip to Italy was foiled, it is such a blessing they were not in the air when this occurred.
Also, having you there for support must be such support for your sister. PTL fren!
Indeed, I'm happy I was there just so my sister didn't have to come down and find him like that.
I was going to do some repairs on my car while there, and dog sit, but still going to so one less thing for her to worry about
