The identities of seven other defendants, including Giuliani and Meadows, were not immediately released because they had not yet been served with the documents. They were readily identifiable based on descriptions of the defendants, however.
Those include John Eastman, a lawyer who devised a strategy to try to persuade Congress not to certify the election.
And Eastman surely knows more about conspiracy law than I do. So he knows his defense needs to be more than this.
These charges should’ve never been brought. I pled not guilty. I had zero communications with the electors in Arizona. Zero involvement in any of the election litigation in Arizona or legislative hearings. I’m confident that if the law is faithfully applied I will be fully exonerated at the end of this process,” Eastman said in a statement.
He was indicted in Arizona in April.
