Howdy all! Longtime user here and Q-follower since Nov. 2, 2017, though I'm not an autist and don't post much.
I wonder if you'd be willing to weigh in on a couple of things that have been on my mind for awhile, particularly if you're a reader, and/or you have or know kids of your own.
To begin, I'm a writer working on my first novel, a cheerful and timely tale about what happens when a group of middle-school-age young patriots discover that someone is trying to buy up all rights to the Fourth of July. My hope is for it to be a story that all Americans from age 10 or so and up can appreciate and maybe be a bit inspired by. It will definitely be very MAGA-friendly!
Watching PDJT's Bronx rally last night inspired me so much because it showed up the positive, can-do American spirit so many of us decent folks, even in the most unexpected places, carry within us, even through some pretty dark times the past few years. That's a big part of what this story I'm writing is for.
So my questions to you frens are:
Do you think that a story like this would appeal to the young adults you know? If so, what do you think they would like to see included in the story?
Do you know of any similarly themed young-adult stories out there nowadays, appealing to MAGA types? If so, could you give some details?
And finally, do you think that young-adult stories like this could be valuable in connecting with the younger generations to help build a better future for America and for the world?
Thanks very much for any thoughts you'd care to share! Cheers.
EDIT TO ADD: Wow, thank you so much to all who've replied so quickly and with such great tips and thoughts! Your input is a real motivator for me to keep at it and get the story done! Please keep the responses coming anytime. :~)
Nice lead, thanks very much! I'll definitely check it out.
