Doesn't necessarily mean he didn't know of Vivek beforehand. So much of Vivek's campaign suggested he was working for Trump anyway, saying the Trumpisms without the "orange man bad" baggage (I swear, I know several people who were suddenly liking MAGA stuff not knowing it was stuff Trump had already said for years, their TDS was that bad.)
