He purchased all the equipment and was willing to fund the construction of a road going around the factory the city permited to build that literally blocked access to his business. Was his act necessarily reasonable, that's debatable. But there is a legitimate back story to this chaotic and sad end. You just have to see past the propaganda that's masked alot of this story.
