Little less than an hour ago, for the first time in my life. I have just been baptized not once but twice, since I wasn't fully submerged under water with the first attempt.
After I was finished being baptized, I felt completely invigorated and really cleansed by Him both spiritually and physically.
Like I really never felt anything like it before, it's only God Himself who can do this miracle and no one else can preform such.
No more of the sins that I committed shall bare any mark or does any shame remain within me, since they are now washed away forever.
Before I did get baptized, I already had relationship with God ever since I was a very young kid so basically 20+ years but haven't baptized yet until today.
Admittedly, I initially didn't have the intention to get baptized three weeks ago. I know it was God Himself had destined for me to get baptized today.
Unitially I wanted to get baptized on my own timing, since as of right now my life has gotten pretty busy and whatnot.
But it turns out, this was done sooner than I even expected myself, since it's always according to His Timing and Purposes than of oneself.
If anyone else here hasn't gotten baptized yet, you should do it as I encourage you. God takes the sins of the world away and forgives all your iniquities and washes you white like snow, is it better to live and die for Christ than for your own personal gain.
Well friends I hope you have an amazing weekend, God is great and always mighty to save those who call upon on His Name.
I'll see you guys when I can post, until then God be with you always.
Ave Christ and All Glory To Him! Amen!
Thanks for posting the news! This was SO awesome to hear! I always love hearing about or seeing adult baptisms. They remind me of one of the most powerful scenes in the epic 1977 film "Jesus of Nazareth," when John the Baptist is baptizing people in the river and suddenly Jesus appears. Michael York's acting in this scene is magnificent, and what the two say to each other is also very important.
Almost overcome by the majesty of seeing the Lord, John says to him "It is I who need baptism by You, and yet You come to me." Then in reply, Jesus, the Son of God Himself, says "Let it be so. We must fulfill all righteousness."
If anyone had any questions about whether they should be baptized, this should answer them. Being baptized is definitely something we all need to do.
I've heard it said that when a person is born again, there is such happiness in heaven that all the choirs of angels sing out in happiness. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the same glorious thing happened during baptism!
Welcome to the "family, brother!" You are now a part of the Bride of Christ. Praise God!!
