Blotted out the key details to avoid my account/address being looked at.
I had 2FA / MFA enabled. I had a 6 digit code. The app was attached to my TX and email. This is one of the earliest loopring wallet accounts and my crypto holdings go back 10 years. I am also fairly certain now that I did infact add a second guardian. According to timestamps In less than one second, an account update was done, 3 swaps were performed, and everything was withdrawn without my consent.
I believed in Loopring because they were working with Gamestop. I was wrong. I got fucked. Learn from my mistake. Don't fucking use it. I don't know what to use now. Nothing is safe. Buy gold and silver with your crypto before it gets randomly hacked.
I have read so many things about Crypto being stolen like that. Seems like if you can access a coin you can roll that forward to a point to where the original owner is shut out.
The longer the chain the harder and more energy it takes to maintain it. But if there is a chain, there is a log that can also be used to track you. Seems like a lose lose sort of deal.
You probably have pretty good knowledge of tech to have trusted... how can a normal person trust such things?
Yes. It had been discussed on the boards previously. I read constantly. I also change my codes often. None of the normal routine security stuff mattered. I could have created a new wallet and moved the funds around, I still think they would have found a way. I'm feeling pretty defeated at the moment.
Interesting thing is they are calling this the "Loopring Smart Wallet compromise event". That is an interesting way to say 5 million dollar heist.
Anyway, easy come easy go. I figured we're all going to lose something just like we've lost friends and loved ones as we get closer whatever lies ahead.
The attack specifically targeted wallets that had the Loopring Official Guardian as their sole guardian. In cases where users had appointed multiple guardians or used third-party services, the wallets remained secure, underscoring the importance of diversified security measures.

Probably stealing money to offset their future losses on GME. Sorry to hear that happened. I hope you've got some GME to make up for it!
Yes.

If you don't hold/control it , you don't own it.
