Looked to me that Biden was aware of his surroundings and in control of his actions. I don't always see that as being the case. If I'd been there I would have behaved much the same. I'm much more concerned about the frozen behavior observed later when the whole crowd was moving to the music around them. That was truly a deer in the headlights moment.
