Jesus has the greatest authority. After Him we're all equals and that's my point. Paul told Timothy to study to show thyself approved. The Bereans are praised for searching the scriptures daily in order to find out if those among them are false prophets. God has kept His word true and pure and it is profitable for...II Tim 3:16
Nowhere in the Bible does it show Peter as Pope. So let's pretend that I only have a bible in my house and I read it and fully understand it. Do I blame God of it doesn't match the teachings of the Catholic Church or do I need to purchase more than the Bible because I'm lost with just the word of God?
Jesus has greatest authority and Firmilian, Cyprian, Leo, Eusebius, Augustine, and AcesSilver all appeal to it. But out of this grouping, who has greater credibility?

Stephen [I] . . . boasts of the place of his episcopate, and contends that he holds the succession from Peter, on whom the foundations of the Church were laid [Mt 16:18]. . . . [Pope] Stephen . . . announces that he holds by succession the throne of Peter [Firmilian of Caesarea quoted in St. Cyprian’s Letters 74:17 (c. A.D. 255)].
If anyone considers and examines these things, there is no need for a long discussion and arguments. There is easy proof of faith in a short summary of the truth. The Lord says to Peter: “I say to you,” he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven . . .” [Mt 16:18–19]. - Cyprian of Carthage, 251AD
Paul testifies that Crescens was sent to Gaul [2 Tm 4:10], but Linus, whom he mentions in the Second Letter to Timothy [2 Tm 4:21] as his companion at Rome, was Peter’s successor in the episcopate of the church there, as has already been shown. Clement also, who was appointed third bishop of the church at Rome, was, as Paul testifies, his co-laborer and fellow soldier [Phil 4:3] [ibid., 3:4:9–10]. - Eusebius of Caesarea, Church History, 312AD
[T]here are many other things that most justly keep me in her bosom. The consent of peoples and nations keeps me in the Church; so does her authority, inaugurated by miracles, nourished by hope, enlarged by love, established by age. The succession of priests keeps me, beginning from the very seat of the apostle Peter, to whom the Lord, after his Resurrection, put in charge of feeding his sheep, down to the present episcopate [of Pope Siricius] [Augustine - Against the Letter of Mani Called “ The Foundation” 4:5 (A.D. 397)].
Do you think Paul's warning is void? Which religious group forbids to marry and eats fish on Friday?
Again, just because someone strayed from the faith a long time ago does not give them credence over the truth of the gospel today. I ask you again, which no one professing Catholicism has been able to do yet in discussion with me....utilizing scripture alone show me the Pope, the cardinals, the indulgences, the infant baptisms, and Peter having authority over the other apostles in his time.
My whole mother's side is Catholic by the way so I know the response my great aunt gives when any reference to scripture is mentioned. "I'm not going to read the bible if I need to know anything from it the priest will tell me." This is why I have never known anyone professing Catholicism who could actually have a scriptural discussion with me. They don't know the scriptures and are told they can't understand them. The bible is written at a 6th grade reading level. Prove me wrong and show me scripture.
You're missing the point.
Firmilian, Cyprian, Eusebius, and all the early Christians are doing the EXACT SAME THING YOU ARE DOING (i.e. using scripture to argue a point)

Show me where in Scripture the words "scripture" and "alone" come together.
