Here in NC another important Agricultural state (my own county is second only to one in Iowa in overall protein production) are experiencing a very severe drought. We just came back from a shopping trip to an Amish store in the middle of farm land and saw how bad the crops look.
Sadly, many small family farms do not have the money to irrigate their farmland so they will most likely lose most of their crops if the drought continues.
