You are welcome to think that. Though are you saying a person who gave up millions in their own retirement package to save children & discussed by Q should be ignored?
IIRC, Q told us that we needed to unite vs pick on differences.
The Sound of Freedom was based on this guy & he clearly had Lawfare dogs sent after him because of his stance on child & human trafficking.
I have had a problem for years with the church distancing themselves when things get rough with a publicly known member.
Granted there are many on this board that claim "Jews" all circle the wagons & push back hard as a group. Seems the LDS church does the opposite. I have wondered if it is due to political problems that may be insinuated by Fake News?
There was a great state rep, years ago that helped a woman/answered he question, and a reporter just happened to be on the street to get the photo. The media claimed he was cheating on his wife. His kids later made it clear that he refused bribes & to be bought off, so he head to be removed from the system. I belive his name was Calvin Bird, though he didn't represent my district & I may recall that incorrectly, so I wasn't following that story. Though my parents didn't want me to get close to that family growing up because of those reports. They lived close enough that I attended some events at occasional sporting events. The claim by his family member is that the church denounced him & said it would just be easier to have him go through a repentance process that wasn't needed. Certainly doesn't seem right to me, though I also have some interesting conversations with local members frequently about history they forget, which ends up lining up with things happening now. Very few know about the founder claiming there will be one mighty and strong to put their house back in order. No idea who that is, or could be, though there is also LDS prophecy (many assume their own church) about God cleaning out their own house first before he moves onto the rest of the world.
God knows the heart of all his followers. I would love to see the church fight for individuals, instead of cowering to government & media frequently, at the end of the day, I see it as multiple groups of Americans & Christians needing to unite on what we all have in common to finish this war in these last days.
Ultimately I think we can agree that no matter what, this is going to be biblical :D
Mormonism is indeed an authoritarian cult and it is not part of Christianity, regardless of what they might claim. They absolutely control the entire life of a "believer". It is horrible and those who leave are cut off. This is a very important thing to understand about cults. Yes, you hate being in it, but NOT being in it means you are literally an outcast in society. Those psychic wounds are real and long-lasting. And, because the tight community is a forced thing, being thrown out is incredibly disorienting and painful. Our society is not like that, but it also allows for people to be utterly alone and unvalued and there are few mechanisms for real inclusion in a loving social community. We are atoms, not molecules.
ANYTHING coming out of the Mormon church should be ignored.
