Sure, they’re TRAINED to do something about it. But they’re not obligated to. So the taxpayer pays out for all the expensive training in the hopes that the cops FEEL like stopping the threat. Legally, they can just say “Fuck dem kids” and there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it. But they can also arrest (or worse) you if you try to go do the job they won’t.

I do have a question about this. DC is not a state, diplomats can murder someone and get onto a flight home.
Is the law different for a real state?
