It's because even though they got 14% of the vote the only won in 4 Counties. Something like 0.6% of the UK. Lib Dems have more reps in more counties spread out, that they won.
They have been arguing about changing the voting to proportial based, instead of FPTP (First Past The Post) but can never come to an agreement.
Looks like a system designed to screw over small parties.
The small ones at the bottom don’t seem to be screwed.
I assume some of these parties are regional, that would account for more success.
