I really wish we could get beyond this every election. You guys are incorrect.

The very term anchor baby is used because it means that the baby becomes a citizen by being born in the US irrespective of the legal status of the parents. But don't believe me, believe the 14th amendment

Birthright citizenship: The 14th Amendment grants citizenship to anyone born in the United States, without regard to the immigration status of their parents.

If this didn't happen, there would be no such term as 'anchor baby', would there be? There would not. Nothing would have changed. The baby born in the US would still be a Mexican citizen. But that's not how it works.

This is the very reason we don't want immigrants because they can potentially create many citizens at a time when cost of the system to bear a single citizen is over a million dollars in taxes we have to pay to cover infrastructure.

So three people (preg woman and man) will be an automatic 3+ MILLION DOLLAR BURDEN to US TAXPAYERS over their lifetimes

When was 14th amendment ratified? Ratification Date: July 9, 1868

This is well before Kamala Harris was born. So no retroactive / grandfathered in arguments would apply either.
