I think he was targeted during the Obama administration to be in this position. The liberals used to love him, and he fed them what they wanted to hear. By the time he was in position to buy Twitter, the left was still sold on him, even though he made occasional tweets that dismayed them and the MSM had already started turning against him. It's like they woke up a little too late.
