I like to think that this is a movie still. And we're seeing them turn the dial back a bit more at a time these days. This is the part where they start stepping toward revealing real public opinion. Before the final scene. The big reveal.

Me too. I've heard that original plan was to reveal everything through EBS after marshall law lock downs. But since that would cause mass panic and chaos, they decided to slowly drip the public after media take over so everything seems organic.
