Bird flu training

Did anyone receive universal precautions training for bird flu around 2007-2009? We were told that sports arenas would be for containing the bodies. They were planning at that time to keep the schools open.

No. I remember everyone just laughing at bird flu like how they laughed at swine flu and H1N1. That is why COVID took me by surprise, I expected it to just be another nothingburger and then they went hardcore over it I was knocked out of my stupor.
