We really don't know anything about the shooter(s). Everyone is just spitballing. Totally possible roof dude is a distraction.

Trumps right ear was hit and that ear was facing the stands behind him. The blood went from his ear toward his lower jaw. Doesn't this signal the shot came from behind Trump? (his back right if you are watching him on screen)
