Would Secret Service wear a vest that says POLICE??? Is SS allowed to have beards?
If this was local police SWAT, don't they have different RoE than SS?
Since Trump is a former President/candidate, I would assume he doesn't have a full SS detail, that would include their own snipers, so they have to rely on local PD tactical teams wherever they go, and this is a problem with having to do that.
Secret service have a police force and yes some have beards. I trained K9s with them in 2015. Having said that I do not know if these are in fact USSS.

Well Trump had a full SS security detail back in 2016 when he ran. This time it is compromised.
