Anyway, this narrative does not really make sense.
Specific reason: Iranians want revenge for Suleimani's assassination? Otherwise more genreal reason: Iranians wants to kill a Presidential candidate, because they prefer Democrats?
IDK it seems fishy. Who wants Iran to go down, really, as in why is Iran an enemy of USA? Something, something iranians threw the physical USA Embassy out of their country (1979) - and with good reason, in terms of corruption and theft, TBH, because there were all sorts of mysterious black ops going on from that den. Sooo, we are supposed to hate them now? ... and have USA been sanctioning them ever since - which has led to all sorts of deprivation and continued Black Markets etc.
Oh yeah, sanctions are financial terrorism - and tend to backfire, BTW. But - this narrative does not make sense. IF the hatred is deep-seated and old, why would they want to kill the most popular president who says things like: "I want the dying to stop" - Or "let's just do business". Even if some will blame Trump for Suleimani's death - who is arguably the most brilliant military strategist this century - in terms of tunnelling a drone warfare. So is it THAT specific reason?
This latter narrative does not make sense either: Suleimani is now a martyr Inch Allah. (InB4: I am a Christian, but have lived 'over there'). My point is, not making fun, but the last statement is one of fatalism - and a recognition of the value of martyrs, and Suleimani's historic philosphy and military strategy are now an example to follow. So I don't think that an Iranian was trying to stir the geo-political pot, to influence an American election. I just don't.
What is a simpler explanation?
