The patsy was way too far down from the peak of the roof to be shooting at the stage. Laying down at that angle he couldn't even see the stage. It was below his line of sight.

I'm guessing his head was 5' from the ridge.

For a 1:12 roof this would be 5" rise ------ plus the height of the ridge cap. The ridge cap looks to be 3" to 4" ----- so, he had to aim over the top of 8" to 9"
