Holy Father, during these days, we are blessed with a local festival taking place in neighboring villages. Some shows are played on a solid big scene in the open, some others are more of the busker type. I am not an assidue television/radio guy, so discovering new talents outside these channels is always a rich experience for me. This afternoon we will attend a busker/theater play for families, with a public consisting of both young kids and adults and jokes surgically formatted to entertain both. That is charming to hear the younger ones laughing and that is also funny to see them astonished to hear us laugh at jokes they did not get. Some kids even pretend to laugh with us. I praise You for such a pleasant perspective.

Maurus, Pantelemon and Sergius (died 117 AD) are 2nd century Christian martyrs venerated at Bisceglie on the Adriatic. Tradition holds that Maurus was from Bethlehem and was sent to be the first bishop of Bisceglie by Peter. They were killed during the persecutions of Christians under the Roman emperor Trajan.
