Seems like a lot is missing from this investigation. Have they brought in the SS sniper for questioning or any of the police who interacted with the suspect?
Who was on the water tower? Who owned the white van and how were the Yearicks involved in this? What type of rifle and ammunition were used? How do they explain the audio signature of 3 different rifles? Who ordered the snipers to leave the building overlooking the roof Crooks was on and why were those windows unlocked?
