Yes exactly without an absolute you will end up being wrong somehow somewhere.
Not immoral necessarily but lacking certainly.
I think as beings who are very limited in mental ability in this vast universe we are bound to be incorrect from a more advanced perspective. That is the implication of the scientific method. It's never settled. There can always be a better way to understand it. To think you have the ultimate in understanding because of this belief system of yours is falling far short of your potential as a thinking being.
We were talking about morality remember? you gotta move the goalpost to keep thinking youre right.
I thought the relevance was obvious. You think you have some Ultimate Morality. I am saying that is probably wrong just like everything else we think we understand. Just because you and many many others experience it as absolutely real does not mean it's not made up.
Consider the tribal "witch doctor" who points a magic amulet at a man who knows of the witch doctor's powers. The man turns to run and dies of fright. A tribesman who witnessed that would know you are a fool for doubting the doctor's power to kill at a distance. He has seen it. He knows for a fact it's real. Doesn't mean it's anything but the mind of the "victim" causing him to die.
Your hypothetical deals with perception. Yes human perception is lacking.
However if you think something is right someone else thinks something else is there isnt even a consensus on what is right. If this is true then nothing can be evil. It would be opinion not fact.
You claim God killing is evil how can this be if there isnt an absolute on what evil actually is?
