It hurts me to see these things, but at the same time gives me hope… it’s bittersweet.
As a San Diego native raised by a Mexican immigrant, USMC combat veteran, I’ve always known and felt that SD, and most of California, disagrees and differs with/from how they are always portrayed to be.
I left California some years back to start a family in somewhere that resembles America, and I recognize that many people consider me part of “the problem,” but I hope someday in the near future people realize that some of the populace of CA are some of the strongest patriots out there.
Not many others have had to deal with the level of brainwashing, abuse, and bullshit that we/they have.
Easy, patriot, I know we think that CA are all kluck, but not all. All you have to do to show them is to put a flag out. I am from WA, moved 3 years ago and have since hung 2 flags. People like us here.
My experience alone assures me there are others like you and I, I don’t doubt it for a second.
People out here have given me shit for the last 6 years, but I love them for it. I take it in stride, and strive daily to show them that I came here to find people like me, not to change their ways (I also fuck with them 10x harder than they fuck with me lol).
They’ve been absolutely amazing to me and I’m doing everything I can to give that back.
They’ve genuinely taken me in and I’ll spend the rest of my life earning it, and raising my daughter in a good community that I appreciate more than I say.
That's absolutely wonderful to hear. When I left, I told everyone we are on Exodus. It helps if you are in a faith group because many in the south are Christians even if they might not be joining a traditional church group. Many are God honored people.
I too am a San Diego native raised by immigrant parents. Dad, a Vietnam war vet, served in the Navy for 20 years to gain citizenship. Brought my mother over to start a family and have a better life. More patriots in San Diego than led to believe. I know of more patriots that speak up more than libtards do.
You get it! NorCal usually gets the reputation share of good ol’ country folk (to people who know, and for good reason), but not many know what San Diego is really all about.
It’s SoCal, but it’s not LA. What do you really get when you mix old school conservative California culture, the largest US border with Mexico, a huge military presence, plenty of street gang activity, and a very mixed influence in the educational and political sphere?

Yet many stand strong.

Shit, I dunno. People like you and I, I guess.
