A crypto currency backed by Gold. Right now the buying power of a dollar is very useless, and ultimately finds its way back to the government after only a few hands.
With gold, the government will not take your money, and so you won't need to spend as much or gain as much to survive.
You will no longer rent your own home and land from the government. You will no longer be taxed based on what they estimate your land and home to cost. You will no longer be told what your own home stead limits are. You will no longer be forced to buy insurance. You will no longer have to buy car insurance.
People will adapt, and so will the automotive industry also adapt. We hold the flawed mindset, albeit forced upon us; that insurance is necessary to have financial responsibility while driving.
Car insurance is solved by an expectation of reality. Vehicles get hit. Accidents happen. You should EXPECT that by putting your vehicle on the road, you will at some point have an accident. This expectation requires you to limit for yourself on a financial basis the vanity you display to others. This expectation REQUIRES automotive manufacturers to produce better vehicles, because as of right now, any vehicle with a small fender bender costs $5K in repairs-- made only possible by the scam of insurance, and the greed of the industry.
In the future, a car repair will be so small you could care less. In the future, your car will not be so dangerous at high speeds- because we will innovate, because we will not be suppressed anymore.
IF you want to put a million dollar car on the road, it is not the man working earning his living week to week that has to fund your vanity. Instead, you aught to be solely independent, responsible for your own decision in such a place where a financial mishap may occur.
INDEPENDANCE gentlemen, seek it earnestly. Learn about it. It's essential. It's where we're going. It will be a new world!
There is ZERO way of guaranteeing proof of reserves with a gold standard. How many centuries of gold manipulation have occurred? Minting impure gold coins, paper-backed gold, gold speculators... When's the last time Fort Knox was audited?
Bitcoin however is eternally logged through the blockchain.
How does one do an anonymous transaction with Bitcoin? Fairly easy for gold, not so easy with Bitcoin...
Who's Satoshi Nakamoto? No one has any verifiable proof of his identity.
That should be enough to prove Bitcoin is anonymous (if you choose to be)
Not really, the state of Bitcoin's surrounding ecosystem is radically different today versus ~15 years ago. With the insane proliferation of KYC exchanges and chain analysis, it's actually quite a bit more difficult to transact anonymously versus ~15 years ago.
You can trace transactions to exchanges. But you can't guarantee anyone to be an owner of a specific address. There's too much room for plausible deniability.
