McConnell is a purported "anti-drug warrior," which is shocking. The "Enhanced Marijuana Penalties Act" of 1996, which he sponsored, increased the required minimum sentence for anyone found in possession of marijuana. He is also adamantly against marijuana being legalized in any way.

That makes my blood boil.
