Off topic. In Panama, not far from Ft. Clayton, a bunch of good dude's went out for booze and beautiful girls. After figuring out that all the girls were either hookers, scammer's, or just hated us (it wasn't long after thing's went -boom boom- down there. 90's)...., it was time to go.
Before the cab ride back, part of the group grabbed a little midnight snack. Meat on a stick. Some Panamanian was selling the meat at the parking lot. Really sketchy.
A buddy asks the vendor what kind of meat he was cooking? It was raw. Looked like beef?
It is being cooked open wood, a rusted out half barrel. The meat is slidden onto wooden skewers.
When he answered "MEOWWW ", I believed him.
You mentioning the cat and monkeypox brought up that memory immediately . weird kek
I was stationed at Marine Barracks, at the Rodman Naval Base just across the big Thacker-Ferry Bridge, and have seen those same street vendors selling mystery meat on skewers. Now... I've jumped out of choppers, been shot at and missed, swung at and hit, been in my share of motorcycle and car wrecks, and lived to tell the tale, but I wasn't brave enough to try one of those skewers of mystery meat.
