This is what I tell folks too. They always think the grass is greener. The problem is corrupt people seek power over others. Every form of government is riddled with this issue.
What’s funny is that this is literally the Chinese post-Mao approach to both capitalism and socialism. It’s a very short walk from “a good cat catches mice” to “socialism with Chinese characteristics”
Terriers have been bred as rat and mouse catchers for hundreds of years. There were (and may still be) competitions to see whose dog could kill the most rats in the shortest time. The head shaking behavior in dogs with toys or prey is for killing small animals such as rats and mice.
IF ONLY Socialism was a QUICK KILL, truth is ,it is a very slow burn.
All these ism are slow burn.
What about nuclear war-ism? Oh wait, I guess you're right.
LOL
Socialism is like looking for a black cat in a dark coal cellar.
Revolutionary socialism is the same but the cat isn't there.
Communism is just the same only every now and then someone jumps up and shouts "I've found it, I've found it!!!!"
And the person yelling is a lazy, good for nothing, waste of space, afraid of hard work and being judged on merit.
LOL. Great explanation.
Power corrupts, which is why they All fail eventually

Oh you know about that one about cat and mice. My dog catches mice also and when I told my Chinese friends, they couldn't believe it.
