It does seem like RFK waited until the best possible time to change his mind and help Trump.

He waited until the Dems went all in on a thoroughly unlikeable candidate, with an openly evil past. The dems main argument was: "At least she isn't Trump", but that applied to RFK too.

Also staying in the ballot in swing states that lean blue, leave the ballot in States that are strong Trump states is an amazing FU to the DNC.
