Ok, I'm sorry, there are so many things to call this crazy woman out on, but this post is absolute bullshit.
Just look at the card that the opinion piece is using as evidence. It declares she lives in westmount, but it doesn't have any address at all for their home. The address on there is for that mom's employer, which is in a nice neighborhood. But, it doesn't mean that's where they lived.
Has anyone here been to Montreal? It's a shithole just like the french cities it copies. I was there for work a few times in the late 70s and I hated it. It was like San Fran nowadays, just dirty and full of gross people.
I'm going to let the whole assumption that working at McDonalds means you are wealthy because ... wtf? Wealthy kids don't work at McDonalds, wealthy kids work at their parent's friends businesses and don't do shit except collect money.
A simple search showed that her mom lived there for a year or two and Kamabla almost immediately moved back to the US to go to Howard which is an all black school.
I swear these posts are honey pots to make this board look stupid. Someone posts the easiest bullshit to verify and then people turn around and share it without checking and then some liberal dipshit googles two things and can rightfully call us idiots for sharing it.
We know way better than this. Also, how is moving to a place for a few years of high school "where you grew up?"
She lived between Palo Alto and Berkeley when she was growing up, both of those places were solidly middle class back in the 60s and 70s, and both cities had huge black populations, as well as Indian and White populations.
Pick your battles and verify everything before you post it because this is getting dumb and we can't afford to look stupid.
Kamala was born in 1964. She wasn't even a teenager when she moved to Montreal. Her mother worked there for 16 years, and Kamala attended one year of college there before changing to Howard. Not even sure if she really worked at McDonalds, because she said so?
I've never been to Montreal, so I have no opinion on how nice the city is but like any large city, they have nice and bad neighborhoods.
