Everybody's boats are already burning. If Marxism is allowed to take over it will be what it has shown itself to be historically, incalculable suffering by way of concentration death camps and millions dead by way of political executions.
That sounds laughable and impossible to the Western mind, which is accustomed to freedom and individual liberty. But it was allowed to swallow Russia and Eastern Europe for most of the 20th Century, and that was the result there. And it took generations for them to break free. And countless millions of their friends, neighbors, and relatives murdered by the bloodiest political ideology in the history of Planet Earth.
And it is here and it owns our Politicians and our Mainstream media. And it is, inch by inch implementing itself now. And it is doing so against the will of the vast majority of citizens around the Globe.
I took it as an allusion to the Moslem leader Ṭāriq ibn Ziyād. The story goes that when his troops landed in Spain, he had the boats they crossed in burned and told his troops that they win there or die there.
That's the only "burned his boats," legend that I know.

Fasinating. Did they win? Thinking they lost.
Yeah, the Moslems controlled Spain over 700 years until the Christians reconquered it.
