I find when I am speaking to others about the Lord and evangelizing (in my own littlest little way 😅) the devil does not like it. And I am subject to “attacks” you should say, and where things will go haywire. I actually quite find them amusing and indicative that I am doing something right by preaching about the Lord and telling that God is bringing me to even greater challenges and to prepare.
I am sure that this is evident with your interactions as well. I just want to say be not afraid. We put on our full armor. Read scripture. Praise God unceasingly and do His Will regardless of what come our way.

Darkness is a construct of evil to justify its existence of itself as an "equal" to the light. It is NOT an equal, nor even an opposite. Darkness does not exist without light because it is the "absence of light". Remove the light, and you have a new state due to its removal only, not due to anything inherent in the "lack of light" itself. The ABSENCE of light is darkness. The ABSENCE of God is evil.
Keep shining the light, fren.
Took me a while to come to this understanding. That "hate" seemed to follow me for years, even without speaking about the LORD directly.
Matthew 13:18-19
