Long story short, The company hired a Mexican cartel member who set up shop in the plant. Several American employees were latter found, shot, set on fire or brutally beaten for their drug debts. We had rail cars come and go , in and out of the plant, one car came in loaded with cocaine, in baggies, hung from strings, tied to the roof inside the car. Management had us put the car on a tail track until a group of guys came and picked up the drugs. They were in on it ! The feds finally raided the place and hauled the Mexican out in cuffs and cleaned out the cartel from the local town. No managers were charged. Crazy shit but true.
