I am Canadian and I own property. All you put there is a headline. What that headline is likely referring to is this is the last weekend for cottagers. Most people close up the cottage after labour day weekend. Most cottages are owned by people that live in the city who also own houses in that city. They come North in the summer for vacations to get away from the grind. It says nothing about not owning anything. Do you even know what a cottage is?
