The problem with saying it starts with Abraham is that it misses out on the purpose of Christ. He was made sin for us so that we could be redeemed and live in eternity with him. Any true Biblical scholar can tell you that Isaac was a type, a foreshadowing of Christ. Isaac couldn’t be the Savior because he wasn’t sinless. The sacrifices made to Molech and Baal were not redemptive sacrifices, there was no atonement from sin through the deaths of those children. Like it or not, Israel is God’s chosen people, and He will deal with them, in fact, their punishment will be harsher than the Gentile nations because they knew better.

Plus, Abraham didn't kill his son.
It was a test of his devotion to God--would he follow this bizarre instruction?
Just as he was about to bring the dagger down, an angel stopped him.
Then a lamb was found nearby. That was used instead.
To say "it all starts with Abraham" is ignorant at best and maliciously anti-Christian at worst.
