The handful of people running this operation are pretty darn clever, clever enough to have a Plan B on hand, although their puppets are complete idiots.

Sounds good. A lot hinges on citizens regaining control in the US. US is going to have to lead the way, but citizens of other nations are going to have to watch and learn to get people-first leaders.
