A global attack that destroys everything we've made in seconds.
No grocery stores, no clothes or tools or running water. Suddenly we're back to Genesis but with our human nature unchanged. Would your local community have what it takes to survive?
I think most people would perish pretty quickly to be honest. We've become too reliant on things outside ourselves. Even farmers and rednecks would probably struggle.
Interestingly, I was at a county fairgrounds today in a flyover state, and it was a show/fair featuring steam-powered tractors. There is plenty of that equipment and know-how still around in the heartland. I think we would be okay, but the population would shrink at least 80 percent.
There's always horses to pull the plow.
Have you seen any plows lately?
They're not that hard to make. The major difference will be how long the plough share lasts.
