I think this was an op to find the mole/s in the USSS or DHS. Since it was last minute, very few would have known. I bet the military was monitoring Doral and Mar a Lago for comms, ingoing/outgoing. They'll get to the bottom of this. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump wasn't really there, maybe a body double stand it for this op.
