Because those airlines don’t want beepers exploding on their flights!
Tactically, I think it was a great operation… Being able to take out Hezbollah individually, however there’s no way to know for sure if civilians could’ve been taken out. But war is war.
The larger problem is, guaranteeing where all these beepers are when they’re set off, and people potentially being on airplanes when that happens and/or the option of a friend or a child grabbing your beeper out of curiosity, or just plain nosiness!
I was supposed to go to Israel last November with the Church group, but after October 7, they canceled it. However; regardless of them canceling it, I decided I had no desire to go. I don’t want to go now, or in the future. I think we will see less and less people going to Israel as the precipice approaches.
What separates the good guys from the bad guys is their regard for civilian lives.
War isnt just war, War with unnecessarily high civilian casualties are war crimes.
It’s a little difficult to fight an enemy that embedded itself in civilization though. That’s the problem with Hamas and Hezbolah - they literally live in peoples homes, schools, hospitals, etc. They do it this way on purpose because they know people like you are gonna say, but but but… civilians were killed. 🤷♀️.
From my perspective, all aspects of this war are equally responsible. Including the Jews.
