This is GREAT! It says in a nutshell, what is the traditional, inherent bargain is between a citizen and the state.
Every home of every citizen IS a sanctuary! That is the bargain between the citizen and the state -- which was formed by those very citizens for the limited purposes of protecting them, so that they don't have to protect themselves individually from armed bandits roaming the streets! . . . Looks like the state is failing in its primary objective, amIrite?
The Second Amendment gives sanctuary to all those weapons which should indeed be undocumented as to ownership and location. The right of the citizen to self-defense CANNOT be abrogated! It is a natural right!
I have quotes from the classics. These natural rights and covenant between the governed and the government goes way back, far beyond 1776.
p. 27-28 Self Defense
“There is a celebrated passage by Cicero, in which, speaking of force when used in defense of one’s life, he bears testimony to nature. ‘This law is not written but born in us; we have not learned it from any teaching, from hearing or reading, but have got it from nature herself, imbibed it, put it in words . . . ; a law to effect that if our lives are threatened by plots, violence, or weapons in the hands of robbers or enemies, any means of ensuring our safety is a right.” He proceeds: ‘Reason taught this law to the educated, necessity to the barbarians, habit to the nations, and nature herself to the wild beasts – always to use every possible means of repelling any violence offered to their bodies, their heads or their lives.’”

Very good to know. I like that fact because here in the south, 2nd amendment is a right, not a priviledge.
True, but it is inherently a right everywhere, because self-defense is an innate HUMAN RIGHT!
Which the second amendment protects.

Notes: Well worth reading.

Thank you. It is a good quote. I will go look.
Do you see why they take the classics out of the schools? Cicero knew this back before Christ.
Marcus Tullius Cicero January 106 BC – 7 December 43 BC) was a Roman statesman, lawyer, scholar, philosopher, writer.
They are all just "dead white men" and have been purged from the schools.
