As someone also out of the loop. Mackelmore isn't a fish, but a rapper. Which make them slightly less useful or intelligent as a fish, but moving on.
In this festival of love and peace he apparently shouted, or rapped.. "Fuck Amer.....".... as one almost Pavlovianly will do at festivals of peace.
So this fella, in America, at a festival of peace, screamed F-the place he was at, and is no shocked - SHOCKED - that the people are outraged.
Entitlement.
The notion that people can do/say anything without repercussions, and if repercussions happen - they claim victim status. I'd almost expect a tiny hat on the fella...
Thank you, a very cogent response. Yup, I had no idea who that was, and really don't care to know more about him now. I still live in my Classical Western Civilization bubble (music, literature, culture) and try my best to ignore pop icons like that.
You're right about how these people seem to live frictionless lives, lifted up by adoring fans and agents to believe they can escape the consequences of life... until they have to face the consequences of life, and it shocks them. Sort of like Prince Andrew, believing himself to be untouchable, until he touched an underage girl and was indeed "touched" himself in the media and exiled by his own royal family.
Ah well, I do believe more and more will be revealed in the coming months.
Here is a bit of Classical Western Civilization that you may not be aware of. LYLE MAYS - ALASKAN SUITE: INVOCATION & ASCENT performed by Primuz Chamber Orchestra. 13 minutes.

By the way, I'm letting that play in the background as I browse the web this morning.
Here is another: First Circle (4K) - Pat Metheny/Lyle Mays | FSU Percussion Ensemble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tys1ie0yJzw
In the 90's Pat Metheny Group started publishing their scores which makes all of these excellent covers possible. Bob Curnow has two albums out of Big Band PMG covers that is also worth a listen.
One last thing, I've been listening to this little oddball piece since last night. It's classified under "Blues" but it's one of the most highly syncopated pieces I've heard in years.

Nice. Thanks, I was unaware of Moondog. Listening to Witch of Endor now.
Oh, that's nice! I think that one of the great gifts to the world from Western Civilization is the symphony orchestra. My favorite go-to places when I'm feeling melancholy are the 1st and 2nd Piano Concertos by Chopin.
