Let me just entertain the idea of a Trump/Kennedy ticket.

I’m not going to assume reasons but lets just say for the sake of the argument that Kennedy ended up being Trumps VP in the end.

Take policy out of the equation. What would have to happen.

Well since the DS decided not to switch out Kamala, Trump decided to switch out his VP pick, forcing what?

New ballots to be printed.

This will royally mess with DS plans because now they can’t fake the ballots in time, and also, Kennedy name would end up being on ALL 50 state ballots. Not just the ones he had as an independent.
