Thanks for telling me about this. I know and seen videos of groups of people just a rolling in and don't ask permission whatsoever. Don't quote me on this, but I think they are now threatened enough they no longer can threatened others because there's just too many coming in with copters, vehicles, drones.
Local churches in small, rural communities know everybody and where they live. They are good donation drop-off sites. Quite a few now have generators and are preparing food. If the churches haven't seen or received info about their people, groups are using ATV's or going on foot. For many of the inhabitants of the Appalachian Mountains there are no paved roads (even before Helene). There's paths, trails, and maybe gravel roads (single lane). Ah, almost forgot: this is also moonshine territory so LEO's, government, and strangers are viewed as trespassers and may be shot.
