„ One of the most significant impacts of these tactics is the erosion of trust in democratic institutions and the media. By blurring the lines between fact and fiction, these strategies foster a climate of skepticism and cynicism, undermining the public's trust in traditional sources of information.“
No. The publics erosion of trust in „traditional sources of information“ isn‘t because of a manipulation through social media and the reflexive control mechanisms, but because these „traditional sources of information“ and „democratic institutions“ have been undermined and are used as a psychological weapon against the people.
The author is a real piece of work too. Didn't have to dig deep into his twitter page to find him shit talking Dan Bongino and praising Stephen King in the same breath.
Claims to be an expert on geopolitics and infosec, but is clearly either a clown or a fool (or both). Still an interesting topic and a good write up.
