We used to have birds roost on our radar mast Once just prior to my ship leaving port (naval warship) we energized our SPS48 radar. Then I was ordered to working party. When I got there they gave us rubber gloves and a trash bag and we picked up about 100 birds that died from the energizing of the radar. Maybe this is what happened.
