I never understood WTF anyone found charismatic about him. One of the first times I felt like there was a spell over certain people.

The explanation is that "You are watching a movie" didn't start with the Q op. You have been watching a movie since television was invented. It has always been used to tell you what to think. Now it appears that "they" no longer have the resources to make it all look smooth like before Trump, and Mr Hotdog Party is obviously treading water at this point.
