I also wish this stuff wasn't true. Unfortunately I've heard far too many stories of children being molested / raped by their own fathers that I can't imagine how bad it can get when a guy has the opportunity and power to get away molesting at will.

A while back I heard that as many as 1/3 of the girls had been molested by someone in my relatively small town growing up. And several guys I know have admitted to being molested by either their dads, or someone like a coach or scout leader.

We need to figure out a way for these people to get exposed and dealt with.
