It’s not that they “hate” Columbus Anon. It’s the not so true history put into the “hero” of Columbus most people hate. And many Awakened Americans have learned Columbus wasn’t the “first” European that discovered America, it was most likely the Vikings, such as people like King Leaf Erickson, King Ragnar Lodbrok, and/or other Viking exploring groups of the time. But mainstream history has Still Yet to recognize this “underdog history” but more factually correct history.
And also Columbus historically is painted as a hero amongst hero’s. But most of the same Awakened people know Columbus also slaughtered a shit-load of Atlantic and Caribbean native islanders, and Native Americans, then kinda hid those facts to garner or add to his fame and popularity.
It is about time history of this era changes in books and mainstream to match the facts; and maybe even Columbus Day handed over to a more factually correct person to be celebrated.
I’ve heard of Leif Erickson, but did the Vikings leave anything lasting or fruitful? Nope.
I would disagree with the statement that people make Columbus was a hero; our modern Marxist society makes him the poster child for “evil European Christian colonizer”, including many Protestant Anons on this board. They are adopting the narrative of their oppressors & siding with the Antifa thugs that actively are destroying history.
Les we forget that Columbus made many Indians allies & he fought against Cannibal Indian tribes; suppose that isn’t the real reason Columbus is demonized? Liberals will side with Cannibals before they will side with Christian hero’s .
Well my whole point is mainstream “taught” history in US elementary and middle schools is incorrect regarding Columbus’s heroic history as taught. His history is much darker. The Vikings were no saints either but if the Europeans, they most likely did discover North America first.
And your history research on the Vikings might be lacking Anon. Time to research some cool history.
So did the Vikings leave anything lasting? Yes! You must’ve missed the ancient Viking villages or camps doted along Nova Scotia’s eastern shores. Or missed reading about historic artifacts such as Kensington Runestone of Minnesota; proving the Vikings tracked deep into North America exploring.
I’m gonna throw some weird history for you. The Vikings worshipped Odin, the Mayans worshipped the god Votan. Anthropologist believe that they are the same God. The story of Votan in Mexico dates back to at least the late 17th century. It was first published in Constituciones diocesanas del obispado de Chiappa (1702) by Francisco Núñez de la Vega, Bishop of Chiapas.
The Bishop deciphered the Mayan codex & according to their religious mythology, their god Voton came from the Middle East & his uncle built a large tower (tower of babel).
So, to an extent, I agree that a network of pagan transatlantic network existed; however, Columbus represents Christian Europe’s arrival to the new world & he is being demonized. I am not white, I am Latino ; I appreciate what the European brothers did for the Americas, saving us from the satanic Mayans & Aztecs. Whether you are Protestant or Catholic, you have to realize that his accomplishment is being demonized at flashpoint in a wider culture war.
I recognize this culture war & I chose to defend my European Christian brother’s accomplishment.
The people on this forum hate Columbus as much as the Antifa leftists… This must mean I am on the right side. God Bless Columbus!
