I tried for 3 months this summer to DR my shares of GME out of Schwab and into my already existing CS account. Schwab gave me a huge runaround then eventually said that the shares were delivered. But they weren't. They are gone. They're not in my Schwab account and not in my ComputerShare account. Schwab will not return my phone calls about it.
Vanguard would not even let me buy GME shares. This is how threatened big money is by this movement.
My statement says "delivered". I spoke to a CO. My husband couldn't believe that Schwab did this either because "they are so nice". So he repeated all of the steps I went through including going thru the CO and got the same promise that they would make sure the stocks got transferred and a promise that they would call him back. Nada again.
As for Vanguard, I don't remember the message exactly, but It was something like: Because of the risk of this stock they weren't doing trades with GME. Or something like that.
Since the CO was not speaking to me, I left a message on his voicemail that I was going to contact the SEC and other agencies. I had a list of them.
This is a stretch, but maybe after that they didn't want to take another chance with not complying with someone else and having them file a complaint, too. Idk.

Come on now. My friend just DRS'd from Schwab for the first time two weeks ago and they landed in Computershare just fine.
What does your Schwab statement say? Did you call and ask for a Compliance Officer?
And you can't buy from Vanguard because of WHY exactly?

Why not just buy through computershare?
Yes, that will probably be my next step.
They are probably in computershare, call them i ended up with two accounts and had to merge them.
I made many calls to ComputerShare. They looked to see if another account was set up. It wasn't.
File a formal complaint against them with the SEC.
